MECC and its Members Took Place in 2025 MIF/C-PLPEX

On 22-25 October, the MECC and our national chamber members took part in the MIF/C-PLPEX. We marked the first day of the event with a group photo of our leadership bodies headed by Echo Chan, President of the Board of Directors, with Mr Sam Lei, member of the Executive Committee of the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM).

On 23 October, with the support of the China-Portuguese (Spanish) Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Service Centre (CECP) and MACETS, we co-organised the TechInnoFin conference in Hengqin, with the Fórum Oceano (FO) and Oeiras Valley Investment Agency (OVIA)--heading a delegation of Portuguese blue tech firms, and the International Forum for Clean Energy, which brought a cohort of Chinese tech startups and investors. We hope this would become the first of many gatherings where synergies may be forged in R&D, trade and investments for the green transition.

Strategic cooperation framework agreements were signed between the CECP and the FO, and the MECC, respectively, at the conference.

The MECC delegation was composed of Rui Pedro Cunha, Executive Vice President, Board of Directors; Niall Murray, Vice President, Board of Directors; Jeremy Artan de Saint Martin, President of the General Assembly, also representing the France Macau Chamber of Commerce (FMCC); Pedro Theotónio of the Banco Nacional Ultramarino. S.A. and Seamus Ma, Executive Manager, who hosted the event.
