Bridging Heritage and Identity "The Travelling Dolls" Exhibition Launch

On 21 July, MECC was delighted to attend the opening of “Wondersome and Peculiar Voyages: The Travelling Dolls” at the Rui Cunha Foundation. Curated by Ms. Sara Neves, the exhibition features a complete creative series by art duo Ms. Marta Stanisława Sala, a Polish artist, and Mr. Cheong Kin Man, a Macau visual anthropologist, anchored by a brand-new body of work crafted specifically to reflect Macau’s unique cultural landscape.

Rooted in the city’s historic identity as a crossroads between East and West, the showcase uses lightweight, portable fabric figures to invite viewers into a deeper reflection on memory, human vulnerability, resilience, and cultural hybridity in a post-migratory world. MECC is pleased to support local artistic initiatives that celebrate our city's rich intercultural dialogue.
